The Two Wolves
The legend says that there was an elder Cherokee, teaching his grandson.

“There’s a war going on inside of me. Is a war between the two wolves.

One wolf is evil is anger, fear, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, lies, and ego.

But the other wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, benevolence, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”

Then, the grandfather put a hand on his grandson’s shoulder.

“The same war is going on within you and within the heart of every man, woman and child.”

The young man was thoughtful for a moment, and then asked, “Which wolf will win?”

The grandfather’s reply was simple…

“The one you feed”
